9º FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINEMA EM BALNEÁRIO CAMBORIÚ
Evento único em Santa Catarina, aconteceu entre os dias 20/11 a 01/12 de 2019 com sessões todos os dias entre 16h00 e 24h00 na Arthousebc.
O Festival Internacional de Cinema em Balneário Camboriú é um evento completo que apresenta o melhor do cinema brasileiro e estrangeiro para o público. A curadoria busca apresentar o trabalho de diretores estreantes ou consolidados, que estimulem diferentes tipos de sensibilidade, através de filmes exclusivos e inéditos de longa, média e curta-metragem, além de obras audiovisuais inovadoras realizadas em diferentes formatos de produção e destinadas às variadas formas de exibição.
Anualmente o Festival leva a Santa Catarina diversos cineastas, profissionais e artistas que participam das atividades junto ao público e contribuem para a formação de cinéfilos, profissionais e pensamento crítico. Também serão oferecidas atividades de mercado, encontro de coprodução, foco país, homenagens e outras atividades. A Residência Audiovisual proporciona oficinas, palestras e debates do público com artistas e profissionais.
Suas atividades terão início com a realização do 9º Festival Internacional de Cinema em Balneário Camboriú, que acontecerá entre os dias 20 de novembro e 01 de dezembro de 2019. Após a realização da primeira etapa, o festival segue de maneira itinerante até o dia 30 de julho de 2020.
“A cada ano se torna em um festival mais completo, sem se esquecer jamais de dar visibilidade a cada filme selecionado. Foram muitos os encontros entre o público e profissionais e entre profissionais de diferentes países que possibilitaram a consolidação de novas coproduções”, afirma André Gevaerd, fundador e diretor do festival. Para a curadora, Barbara Sturm, o objetivo é “mostrar o melhor do cinema de arte atual em produções nacionais e internacionais e colocando os diretores para interagir junto ao público e à imprensa.”
Em oito anos, importantes convidados como os diretores Carlos Sorín, Frederike Jehn, Helene Klotz, Hanna Doose, Beto Brant, Renato Ciasca, Sérgio Machado, Rubens Velloso, Patrícia Moran, Francisco Garcia, Chico Faganello, David Schurmann, o artista Hans Op de Beeck, as atrizes Bianca Byington, Paula Braun, Djin Sganzerla, Christiane Tricerri, os atores Marcos Azevedo e Ivo Muller, o crítico Rodrigo Fonseca, entre muitos outros, marcaram presença e tiveram contato direto com o público.
Trata-se de um evento cultural com formato inovador que se consolidou como um acontecimento de grande importância. Diversos veículos de comunicação seguem seu desenvolvimento e o colocam como parte oficial do calendário anual dos grandes festivais de cinema.
Os filmes selecionados serão avaliados pelo Júri Oficial. Na Competição Internacional serão premiados com a Coruja de Ouro nas categorias: Filme de Longa-metragem, Diretor, Fotografia, Arte, Montagem, Ator, Atriz, Filme Média-metragem e Filme Curta-metragem, além de Melhor Obra na Competição Catarina, Corujinha e Vivo. O Festival poderá contemplar uma produção de longa-metragem com o Prêmio Cineramabc de Distribuição que garantirá a distribuição do filme no circuito comercial brasileiro de cinema. As produções também serão premiadas pelo Prêmio do Público e pelo Prêmio da Crítica.

Serão oferecidas oficinas, palestras e bate-papos que acontecem durante o 9º Festival Internacional de Cinema em Balneário Camboriú
Já estão abertas inscrições para as oficinas de Composição de Trilha Sonora e para Realização de Documentário que fazem parte da Residência Audiovisual 2019. “As atividades acontecem pelo segundo ano na Arthousebc, sede própria, o que nos ajuda a desenvolver um centro de produção cinematográfica na região e garante sustentabilidade ao projeto.”, explica André Gevaerd.
A Residência Audiovisual foi desenvolvida para Empresas e Profissionais que buscam informação, atualização e melhor posicionamento no mercado. As atividades terão início no dia 23 e segue até 30 de novembro na Arthousebc, rua São Paulo 581-1, bairro Estados, Balneário Camboriú.
As palestras e bate-papos são gratuitos e as oficinas podem ser garantidas a partir do investimento de R$ 200,00 cada. As vagas são limitadas. Mais informações no site www.festivalbc.com.

Nesse curso estudaremos algumas da principais abordagens teóricas e técnicas de como se dá a associação entre som e imagem e de que forma esses se complementam e se transformam. A função e as formas de música para cinema bem como as técnicas envolvidas na criação musical para imagens em movimento são o tema central dos encontros. Porém, o curso também traz um viés prático, em que os participantes terão a oportunidade de compor a trilha sonora de uma cena audiovisual.
Fliblio Ferreira é vencedor de alguns importantes prêmios de composição erudita do país, entre eles o Prêmio Funarte de Composição Clássica e o Prêmio Nacional de Composição Música Hoje. Graduou-se no Curso Superior de Composição e Regência e em Licenciatura em Música, EMBAP. Concluiu o Bacharelado e a Licenciatura em Letras, ambos na UFPR, e se especializou em Análise Musical pela EMBAP. É mestre em música e tecnologia pela UNESP e doutorando em música e tecnologia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas, UNICAMP.

Através de textos , exemplos da história do cinema e práticas com a câmera, a oficina vai apresentar e responder algumas perguntas que não são tão óbvias: O que é um documentário e como realizar? Como levar essa linguagem mais além do discurso informativo? Como narrar a verdade desde a própria subjetividade? Podemos criar poesia com a realidade?
Santiago José Asef é formado em cinema na Universidade Nacional de La Plata (Argentina) em 2003, desenvolve trabalho pessoal ligado à experimentação em filmes documentais como “Fingir”, “Depósito” e “Símbolos No Efectivos”. Em 2013 estréia na Argentina seu primeiro longa-metragem, o documentário “8 Jinetes”. A partir do 2013 começa morar e trabalhar no Brasil e dirige os documentários “Antes do inverno” (2013), “Camaroeiros” (2014) e a ópera folclórica “Abrindo as janelas do tempo” (2018), os três produzidos pela Tramela Produções.

PREMIAÇÕES
Os filmes selecionados serão avaliados pelo Júri Oficial. Na Competição Internacional serão premiados com a Coruja de Ouro nas categorias: Filme de Longa-metragem, Diretor, Fotografia, Arte, Montagem, Ator, Atriz, Filme Média-metragem e Filme Curta-metragem, além de Melhor Obra na Competição Catarina, Corujinha e Vivo. JÚRI OFICIAL
É formado para julgar as diferentes sessões do festival.
Christofer Faust – Formado em Cinema pela Unespar(PR), o blumenauense Christopher Faust possui vasta carreira como curta-metragista, tendo recebido diversos prêmios em festivais, muitos deles de Júri Popular, por curtas como “Garoto Barba”(2010), “Máquina de Sorvetes” (2011), “Festa no Apartamento da Suzana (2012) e “Tudo Bem”(2012). Seu último trabalho como diretor é “Garoto Propaganda” (2015), que teve sua estreia na competitiva internacional do 5º Cineramabc. Além dos prêmios, os filmes que dirigiu já foram exibidos nos mais diversos canais de tv e serviços de VOD. Foi produtor executivo dos longas “Bye Bye Jaqueline”, “Euller Miller Entre Dois Mundos” e “Bia Mais Um”. Sócio da produtora curitibana O QUADRO, é também o criador do METRÔ – Festival de Cinema Universitário Brasileiro, que em 2019 terá sua 3ª edição.
Matheus Camilo – é designer gráfico de formação, professor de história da arte e semiótica. Sua paixão é lecionar e pesquisar a percepção e interpretação humana voltada ao objeto artístico e do entretenimento. Trabalha atualmente com redes de ensino presenciais e on-line. Atua no mercado de palestras tratando da psicologia do cinema, tendência de mercado da arquitetura e design de interiores assim como a semiótica da imagem.

Fernanda Duarte – é formada em fotografia na Univali. Após formada iniciou atuação no mercado audiovisual em áreas da fotografia e assistência de câmera. Participou do projeto Rondon e Peres.
Maria Fernanda d’Avila – Mestre em Educação na área de avaliação da aprendizagem na Educação Infantil pela Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (2009), com graduação em Pedagogia (2001). Professora no curso de Pedagogia da Universidade do Vale do Itajaí e consultora de estudos da infância. Tem experiência na área de Educação Infantil , Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental e Ensino Superior, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: formação de professores, educação de 0 a 3, avaliação da aprendizagem, jogos e brincadeiras, projetos pedagógicos e educação para as artes.
ABERTURA E ENCERRAMENTO
É o momento de encontro e festa do festival.
Para essa atividade preparamos uma homenagem ao grande cineasta Orson Welles com a projeção na abertura de Cidadão Kane para a abertura, que é considerada um marco para o início do cinema moderno, e no encerramento com A Jangada de Welles, filme que investiga a passagem de Welles no Brasil quando da ocasião da rodagem de uma obra realizada no Brasil.
Após a exibição de Cidadão Kane, a organização do festival oferece uma festa para celebrarmos juntos a 7ª arte. A cerveja foi gentilmente oferecida pelo Barbarella Café e será gratuita para o público presente.

SINOPSE / Synopsis: O filme narra a história de Manuel Jacaré, líder da jangada São Pedro que saiu em 1941 de Fortaleza (Ceará) com destino ao Rio de Janeiro (RJ) para apresentar uma série de reivindicações dos pescadores da região a Getúlio Vargas, ditador durante o Estado Novo. Em 1942, o célebre diretor de ‘Cidadão Kane’ (1941), Orson Welles, veio ao Brasil para fazer um filme sobre a empreitada revolucionária de 2500km pelo mar em 61 dias. No entanto, durante as filmagens, Manuel Jacaré caiu da jangada e seu corpo desapareceu, motivo pelo qual ‘It’s All True’ nunca foi concluído. ‘A Jangada de Welles’ é um filme sobre histórias silenciadas, luta por direitos trabalhistas e conservação de territórios e práticas tradicionais. / In 1942, Orson Welles was in Brazil filming his documentary “It’s All True” about Carnival and the Jangadeiros (Brazillian fishermen). The leader of Jangadeiros “Manuel Jacaré” died during filming. This fact evokes memories of the New State dictatorship, of Orson Welles in Brazil and the struggle of fishermen for labor rights.

As sessões acontecem sempre na Arthousebc e é apresentada para até 42 pessoas em sessão única e exclusiva na sala cinefilia.

A avó e o tio partem em sua busca, para resgatá-lo e convencê-lo a voltar. / Azarias is a young orphan shepherd, keeper of a herd of oxen, where the ox Mabata Bata stands out. The oxen will be the basis of the “lobolo” payment, a traditional dowry that his uncle Raul must pay for his own marriage. Azarias’ dream is to be a normal child, to go to school, gold that is supported by his grandmother. One day, when Azariah is in the pasture, Mabata Bata steps into a mine – the result of the civil war in the country – and explodes. The young man fears his uncle’s reprisals and flees to the forest, taking with him the remaining oxen. The grandmother and uncle leave in their quest to rescue him and persuade him to return.

Através das quatro estações, a bóia une amigos, mas ao mesmo tempo representa um quebra-cabeça familiar para Fernando. / Fernando travels to the town in front of the sea where he spent his adolescence to fulfill a ritual that he shares with Anibal, journalist and poet: swimming to a buoy. But this year Fernando has an additional plan: to make a documentary about Hannibal and his relationship with poetry and the sea. When inquiring into his friend’s life, Fernando investigates his own past; since Hannibal had a strong friendship with his father, Lito. Before he died, Lito commissioned Hannibal to drop an old buoy into the sea. Through the four seasons, the buoy unites friends, but at the same time represents a familiar puzzle for Fernando.

Sua história começa com uma investigação sobre um acidente de avião na Tchecoslováquia comunista, à qual uma mulher (Vesna Vulovic) sobreviveu após uma queda improvável no ar. Esse evento se torna o ponto de entrada para uma densa rede de eventos aparentemente não relacionados que parecem estar profundamente enredados. O protagonista se vê envolvido por coincidência em vários locais aleatórios e histórias do passado comunista. A narrator leads the viewer into a magical-realist history that is bereft of fabrication. His story begins with an investigation into a plane crash in communist Czechoslovakia, which one woman (Vesna Vulovic) survived after an unlikely fall from the air. This event becomes the point of entry to a dense web of seemingly unrelated events that appear to be deeply entangled. The protagonist finds himself engaged by coincidence in several random locations and stories from the communist past. Without knowing the background of these places and objects, slowly over time, the protagonist discovers there is a surprising relation with the encountered past elements and things that are about to happen in the present time. Coincidence of course! But as the protagonist spends more time at these locations he discovers other uncanny connections. He starts to question the logic of serendipitous chance and decides to investigate all these coincidences and hints from the past by creating a mesmerizing story entirely based on real chance events.

Almost 100 students took their own lives between 2015 and 2017. Among those who chose death over the tough reality, there were university students, while the youngest was only 10. In response to the deaths, authorities merely spend more on life promotion, while some people blame these students for being too weak to endure the pressure from school and society, and others simply avoid the topic of suicide. Nothing stops student suicide rate rising.

Both narrate this stage of their sexual autobiographies going through a journey of unexpected situations. They overcome obstacles and prejudices in search of support. Prostitutes, doctors, physiotherapists and acquaintances get involved. His erotic exploration happens in the most violent city in Latin America, during the sharp peak of his socio-economic crisis. Andrés and Daniela go into exile in a hotel room to tell their story. Fantascópio faz referência ao ilusionista e cientista óptico do século XVIII Etienne Gaspard Robert, inventor de uma máquina geradora de fantasmas, o Fantascópio, com a qual fazia seus shows de aparições, assombrando os visitantes do Mosteiro Capuchinho de Paris. No atual fantascópio, as fantasmagorias são sonoras, sugerindo ambientes e objetos que a mente do ouvinte cria e transforma, reinventando as possíveis formas para os sons ouvidos e os espaços por onde eles navegam. Uma aventura ao interior da mente, nosso poderoso fantascópio pessoal. Durante as pausas entre as sessões, teremos espaços livres para o compartilhamento das experiências vividas durante a vivência. Diogo de Haro é um pianista de formação clássica que percorre os caminhos da improvisação livre e da música eletrônica e experimental, combinando o som piano acústico aos sintetizadores analógicos em performances e shows como o Miragem e Fantascópio, além das trilhas ao vivo para cinema mudo. Ao piano solo gravou o álbum Paisagem em Colapso. Teve seu show “Miragem, Música Eletrônica Orgânica” selecionado para o “Circuito SESC de Música” em 2017 que circulou em 24 cidades do estado de Santa Catarina. Seus “Concertos de Março” de improvisação em piano solo foram ganhadores do Prêmio Elisabete Anderle de 2015.

Our Lives may not be more than a beat, a second, a moment in time, but how is our moment linked to the string of other moments before and after? Why do we possess this need to build things bigger, taller, larger? Why are we driven to fill the void?

From conception to completion, there was not interference from anyone. It is a journey in poetic time of a fictional narrative built through the editing of autobiographical footage from 2016 to 2019. Subjectivities that can generate identifications, dealing with existential questions and crossed by a discovery of self, also based on a transgender experience and rediscovery. The language of authorial creation is developed through the flow of free musical thoughts or the attempt to liberate them. The various emotional situations, altered and diverse states of consciousness, allow clippings of dozens of hours of footage that are essential for building the story and character of the film within the desired purpose. It is part of a series of films entitled “Rascunho Perpetuante” (”Perpetual Draft”).

Naia deixa o remédio que a filha toma todas as noites. Helena tomá-lo às vezes não parece certo. Não está claro, a princípio, o motivo do desconforto da garota. Os remédios de Helena são realmente tranqüilizantes que a mãe dá à filha, para que ela possa ter vida noturna em boates da cidade, mesmo que isso comprometa a saúde da filha ou a atrase em eventos ou aulas. Helena toma as pílulas sem questionar, mas está preocupada em chegar atrasada às aulas de balé e escola. A história revela o cotidiano da mãe e da filha, tendo como espaço de convívio o apartamento em que os dois moram. E é justamente no ambiente de conflito e dependência infantil que o enredo se baseia, já que Naia deixa sua filha em seu apartamento todas as noites. Helena morre no final do roteiro, pois a menina é um exemplo de vida, doação e pureza, uma alma que se encontra em outro estado espiritual quando comparada à mãe. Helena é leve, e isso é evidenciado por suas ações e também de maneira poética pela linguagem e abordagem da história. O desejo da garota é deixar sua planta ao sol, e ela consegue apenas no final da história. Helena significa em grego “Luz brilhante como o sol”. / The story takes place in a city on the southern coast of Brazil in the fall. Naia, a beautiful and jovial 30-year-old single mother, lives in a middle-class apartment with her only daughter Helena, a sweet, dedicated and loving girl. Naia leaves the medicine her daughter takes every night. Helena taking it sometimes does not seem right. It is unclear at first the reason for the girl’s discomfort. Helena’s remedies are really reassuring that her mother gives her daughter so she can have nightlife in the city’s night clubs, even if it compromises her daughter’s health or being late in events or classes. Helena takes the pills without question, but is worried about being late for ballet and school. The story reveals the daily life of mother and daughter, having as a living space the apartment in which the two live. And it is precisely in the atmosphere of conflict and child dependence that the plot is based, as Naia leaves her daughter in her apartment every night. Helena dies at the end of the script because the girl is an example of life, bestowal and purity, a soul that is in another spiritual state compared to her mother. Helena is light, and this is evidenced by her actions and also in a poetic way by the language and approach of the story. The girl’s desire is to leave her plant in the sun, and she succeeds only at the end of the story. Helena means in Greek “Bright light as the sun.”
